Question:

I read the article about what's wrong with most people's blogs, and it made wonder how often web pages get deleted. Obviously, people are creating new web pages as we speak, but how often do people delete them? For instance, if I closed down my blogger account, would my blog disappear? It just seems that usually having more information on the internet is a good thing, but having really old websites around that nobody reads anymore clutters up the internet. If I created a web page for a business and my business shut down, I might leave the website up because I am lazy. Then people would still visit the site and be frustrated when they realize it's outdated. Has anyone thought about this before? The internet is getting too big and it's driving me crazy!

I've thought about it. Have you ever stumbled upon one of those sites that was last updated in 2002? It's annoying!! I wish there was some way to get rid of them. I know personally I recently went though all the old social sites I had once upon a time that I didn't use anymore (MySpace, LiveJournal) and deleted my accounts so they wouldn't be hanging around the web anymore. I know it doesn't help much, but at least I did my part.
